The Sabbath Table

Reciting Kiddush[04]

The Sabbath is holy time. God made it that way as a part of the natural created order. But we only benefit from that holiness by formally and outwardly acknowledging it, and that is what Kiddush is intended to do. Kiddush is a prayer of thanks that we recite over a cup of wine at the Sabbath table. This blessing recognizes the gift of the Sabbath that was given to Israel as an inheritance to be passed on from generation to generation. This prayer is one way that we carry out God’s instruction to remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it. Reciting Kiddush on Friday night sets the tone for holiness for the entire day.

State of Israel has flourished and prospered, bringing the barren desert to full bloom. Nonetheless, the redemption is not yet. We still await the time when Yeshua our Messiah will arrive and Israel and all kingdoms will be subject to him.

    Bloom

Bloom, Vine of David’s Tu Bishvat Haggadah, is inspired by the story of the early pioneers of the modern State of Israel. It focuses on the modern return of the Jewish people to their land as a part of the broader plan of world redemption.

    The Selfless Yoke

To love God with all our heart requires curbing our desires, which include arrogance and maliciousness. To love God with all our life requires that we die to ourselves and live to serve God only. A hypocrite lives to serve himself and receive praise. In turn, a hypocrite does not love God with all his life.
