Some translations are more word-for-word; others are thought-for-thought paraphrases. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Delitzsch Hebrew Gospels is unique in that although it is a word-for-word translation, it comes with a glossary of idioms that helps to convey the complete contextual meaning of certain phrases.
